What I’m Packing for the Shikoku Henro Pilgrimage (Spring 2024)

Tomorrow marks the beginning of a new adventure: my first day walking the Shikoku Henro. Despite what it looks like, this post is not sponsored by Montbell. I just had to buy a bunch of stuff here that I didn’t buy back at home because I didn’t plan well enough! But I digress… I included links for everything I could remember.
Clothing:
- 1 Long sleeve sports shirt
- 2 Short sleeve sports shirts
- Synthetic down jacket
- Lightweight fleece
- 2 Pairs of hiking pants
- 3 Pairs of hiking socks
- 4 Pairs of underwear

The plan is currently to hike to all 88 temples by foot. We purchased ultralight versions of nearly everything, so my bag is feeling easy to carry thus far.
